Gold Diggers

If I was so rich I could spend $130 to go out on a Thursday night (sadly, I'm not), I'd be headed to the Opus Hotel a week from today to check out their Au = Precious Element fundraiser evening for the Arts Umbrella.

The theme is GOLD!  

Your ticket will get you a couple of gold-themed drinks, and you're supposed to dress in gold, too.

Barbados? Really?

You may never have thought about it before, but now you know you want to go to Barbados. Especially if it's free! Well, almost free.

The Barbados Cultural Association of BC, a non-profit organization, is putting on their 14th Annual Independence Gala Dinner & Ball on November 29th at the Renaissance Hotel. This is a black-tie night, so get out your fancies! Every ticket is a chance to win a draw for a trip to Barbados.
